How to Take Youth Protection Training Online
- Go to http://olc.scouting.org
- Scroll down and click on "Youth Protection Training"
- A login screen will appear. Most will not have an account, so click on the "create account" button
- Fill in the account information. Most can choose "not a member" if you aren't an adult leader/committee member in troop 41.
- As part of the account process, you need to supply a valid email address.
- Make sure you fill in your name - it will be used on your certificates for completed training
- As part of account creation, you will get emailed a link to click on. Click on the link, and you will be taken to a web page where you choose a password for your account
Now go to http://myscouting.scouting.org and sign in with your new account
Click on "E-Learning" in the left corner of the screen
Scroll down and look for the "General" tab, find the Youth Protection Training, and Click "Take Course"
Finally, take the training !!!
When you have completed the course, you should be prompted to print a certificate, which you can bring to the pack meeting and turn in to the Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmaster or Chair.
You can also return to website's E-learning section and click print the certificate at any time.
